The Women’s Fund will not have a competitive community grant cycle in the spring of 2010.  We will not issue a community-wide request for proposals in 2010.

In 2010 The Women’s Fund will make grants in two areas:

Domestic Violence Reduction:  The Women’s Fund will fund the Voices Against Violence initiative for the fourth consecutive year. 

Women’s Economic Security/ Financial Literacy:  In 2010 The Women’s Fund plans to launch a giving circle to increase the economic security of women in the Greater Birmingham area.  Throughout the year, The Women’s Fund staff, board and giving circle members will research innovative solutions to help women build assets and move out of poverty.  The funds raised by the new giving circle will be allocated at the end of 2010 or in 2011.
